Summa Networks joins CANTO

Madrid, Spain, October 3th, 2023. Summa Networks, the market specialist in Subscribers, Policy, Identity and Connectivity management, today announced it has become a member of CANTO, the association comprising operators, organisations, companies and individuals in the telecommunications sector in the Caribbean.

Summa Networks offers a complete software solution for carriers transitioning to 5G, which includes UDM/UDR/AUSF/UDSF and PCF for 5G as well as HLR/HSS/AAA/EIR/PCRF for 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G NSA networks, ensuring their interworking in a single suite. The elements are also available as standalone.

Through this partnership, which focuses on promoting innovation and cooperation within the telecommunications sector of the region, Summa Networks takes another stride in its strategy of expanding geographically, particularly targeting Central America and the Caribbean.

Summa Networks has a clear goal to help CANTO members to get the latest telecommunications technologies in an affordable way to keep their competitive edge and strive for innovation in services.

As part of Summa Networks’ commitment to simplify the evolution of carrier networks of all types and sizes, Summa Networks has developed a simple, plug-and-play solution to enable VoLTE and VoWifi communication: voLTEinabox. This solution allows carriers to launch VoLTE/VoWiFi in a very short time as it brings all the needed elements pre-integrated and pre-tested (IMS core, HSS, PCRF, AAA and optionally an ePDG). voLTEinabox is fully virtualized, cost-effective, scalable, 3GPP- compliant, and can be deployed in a Opex or Capex model or as managed services.

As a committed member of CANTO, Summa Networks gains access to a diverse network of industry professionals and leaders. This network serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration on joint initiatives, and the development of strategic alliances with other pivotal players in the industry.

The collaboration with CANTO enables Summa Networks to remain at the cutting edge of the latest trends in the telecommunications arena and aids in promoting optimal practices and standards within the region.

Javier Martin, CEO of Summa Networks said, “We are honoured to be members of the association that is leading and shaping the information, communication and technology industry in the Caribbean Region and the Americas. We are thrilled to be part of the challenge of Caribbean operators which have to choose and integrate innovative, while cost-effective, mobile core technology in their transition to 5G .”

Teresa Wankin, Secretary General of CANTO, “As CANTO strives to foster innovation and provide a platform for the showcasing of technologies and solutions in the Caribbean ICT Space, I am pleased to welcome our newest member, Summa Networks to the CANTO family, with its cutting edge technology and extensive range of products and services, I am confident that they will play a key role in supporting the regions telecommunications service providers”.
